Dorothy U. Koch, 92, of West Clen Moore Blvd., New Castle, died August 11, 2014 at the Clen Moore Place in New Castle. She was born on November 7, 1921 in New Castle to the late Victor and Lillian (Matson) Niesula. She was married to the late Michael Koch. Mrs. Koch worked at Shenango China in the gold room and then moved ot Boynton Beach, FL, where she worked for the City of Boynton as a burial records clerk, she retired after 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boynton and also atteneded the New Life Baptist Church in New Wilmington. Dorothy's husband Michael, lead her to Christ as her Savior early in their marriage. Her faith in Christ perservered to the end and she was clothed with strength and dignity. (Proverbs 31:25) She enjoyed reading her bible and her primary ministry was as a prayer warrior, she interceded for others on a daily basis. She also enjoyed traveling to Japan on three different occasions to visit her grandson and his family.
Dorothy is survived by two daguthers, Michele Barker and her huband John of New Castle and Lillian Koch of New Wilmington, four grandchildren, Kristen Jordan and husband Joel, Michael Barker and wife Kristen, Karstein Koch and wife Maiko and Erika M. Cusimano, and five great grandchildren, Emily, Eli and Wes Barker, Brooke Jordan and Aila Koch.
Dorothy was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra L. Cusimano.
A private service was conducted by Pastor Ron Nagel of New Life Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
