Pansy D. Monaco

Pansy D. Monaco, 83, of Franklin Avenue, New Castle, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Haven Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born June 25, 1931 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Samuel and Christy (Holmes) Jones. She was married to the late Armand A. Monaco who died November 23, 1996. Mrs. Monanco was a dietary aid at Haven Nursing Home for over 20 years. She was also a tour guide for Taylormade Tours of New Castle for many years. Mrs. Monaco enjoyed taking trips and visiting casinos and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered for doing anything for anybody.

She is survived by one daughter, Terry Lynn Snyder and her husband Gary of New Castle, one son, Scott A. Monaco of New Castle, two brothers, Raymond Jones and Ronald Jones, both of New Castle, one sister, Shelvie Gagliardo of New Castle, three grandchildren, Leah Davis, Gary Snyder, and Gabrielle Monaco, and four great grandchildren, Alec, Ayley, Molly and Macy.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Donald, LeRoy, Delbert, Cletus, and Maurice Jones, and four sisters, Mary Cohen, Elfreda Klieniewski, Linda Younger, and Edith Jones.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, September 15, 2014 from 3 PM to 6 PM.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Chaplain Pat Sawaya of Jameson Hospice will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be sent to Jameson Hospice in memory of Pansy.
