Vivian D. Mazzocco

Vivian D. Mazzocco, 80, of Vista South Apartments, New Castle, died Friday morning, September 19, 2008 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born October 15, 1927 in Sprankle Mills, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Homer and Jessie (Donaldson) Mottern. She was married to Michael V. Mazzocco who died May 1978. Mrs. Mazzocco was a homemaker and a member of St. Vitus Church. She enjoyed baking and dancing and doing crossword puzzles and watching game shows.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol DeLorenzo of New Castle, PA, three sons, Blaire Mazzocco and his wife Susie of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael Mazzocco of Fairmont City, PA, and David Mazzocco and his wife Stephanie of Pittsburgh, PA, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Earl Mottern, and two sisters, Letha Deep and Thelma Cross.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, September 22, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Blessing services will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
