Dolores Marie Mcfarland

Dolores Marie McFarland, 83, of Uber Street, New Castle, died Friday, September 19, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born November 14, 1930 in Ellwood City, a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Concetta (Precancio) Cutri. She was married to the late James C. McFarland who died December 16, 2010. Mrs. McFarland was a Bus Monitor for the New Castle School District for 20 years. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. Mrs. McFarland was an Usher at the New Castle Playhouse and a member of the St. Vitus Church.

She is survived by three children, Lynda Beth McFarland of South Park, PA, James J. McFarland and his wife Staci of New Castle, and Concetta P. Fiorante and her husband Sam of New Castle, one brother, John Cutri of Black Canyon, AZ, and five grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Samuel and Kylee Fiorante and Taylor Norris.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Domenick and Anthony Cutri, and four sisters, Minnie Fontana, Susan Komara, Carmella Rosati, and Helen Cimini.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father John Baver will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
