Frank T. Davelli, Jr., 81, of Kingsville, MD, formerly of New Castle, died Saturday morning, January 7, 2006 at his home in Kingsville, Maryland. He was born February 13, 1924 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Frank and Mary (Cambroto) Davelli, Sr., they precede him in death. He is survived by his wife of 60 years the former Norma Gurini Davelli, she survives in Kingsville with her daughter and son-in-law. Norma and Frank were married in the Gurini home in New Castle on October 7, 1946. Mr. Davelli was a 1942 graduate of the New Castle High School and received a Bachelors of Science from Youngstown State University in 1949. He worked for the Baltimore Life Insurance Co. for 35 years as an Assistant Vice-President of Agency Operations. He retired in 1986. He was an expert fisherman and loved the outdoors. A dedicated war veteran, Mr. Davelli served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II as a flight engineer and top turret gunner. He flew 30 missions over Germany and German occupied countries. He received the following decorations, the EAME Theater Medal, Air Medal with 4 oak clusters, American Theater Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal.

In addition to his wife he is survived by, one son and daughter-in-law, Frank T. Davelli, III and his wife Julie C. Davelli of Coral Springs, FL, one daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Davelli and her husband John M. Bagienski of Kingsville, MD and one grandson, Julian Thomas Davelli of Coral Springs, FL.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James D. Davelli, and his brother Thomas A. Davelli.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12 pm to 2 pm.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Rex Wasser of Epworth United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform a military funeral service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in the name of Frank T. Davelli, Jr. to the Hospice of Baltimore, 6601 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21204.
