Dolores J. Nogee, 82, of Vogan St., New Castle, died Thursday evening, October 9, 2008 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born August 16, 1926 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Fazzone) Mariani. She was married to George Nogee who died on August 26, 1988. Mrs. Nogee was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Widows Club of the church and was a past president of the Ladies Guild. She was the Minority Inspector at the 5th Ward, Christ Lutheran Church, polling site for many years. Mrs. Nogee was an avid gardener and enjoyed playing cards. She also was a member of the Eagles Club and worked briefly at the Shenango China.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Ronald Fankhauser of Youngstown, OH, one sister, Eleanore Hillberry of New Castle, PA, two nephews, Richard Hillberry and his wife Joyce of Clearwater, FL, and Thomas Booher of Portland, OR, three great nieces and one great nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Judith Ann Fankhauser, and four sisters, Edith Mariani, Theresa Mariani, Virginia Booher, and Florence Cain.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Robert Schweitzer of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
