Domenick L. Lamberti, Jr., 87, of Pollock Avenue, New Castle, died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born June 21, 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a son of the late Domenick and Margherita (Muscianese) Lamberti. He was married to Rose M. (Pugliese) Lamberti on February 18, 1950, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Lamberti briefly worked for Shenango China and on the railroad. He then worked as a straightener operator at Youngstown Sheet and Tube retiring after 35 years. He was a member of the St. Vitus Church and was an avid Pirates fan, he also enjoyed playing bocci and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Domenic L. Lamberti, III and his wife Krisan of Coconut Grove, FL, Elaine R. Defibaugh and her husband Denis of Rochester, NY, Joann Papst and her husband Steve of New Castle, and Teresa M. Peabody and her husband Jim of Orlando, FL, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Fred Lamberti, and three sisters, Augusta, Angie and Teresa Lamberti.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Bill Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
