Barbara M. Hazen, 76, of Galbreath Street, New Castle, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her home in New Castle. She was born July 9, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Jane (Merrill) Hazen. Miss Hazen was a Navy veteran and worked as an office manager for the Department of the Navy retiring after over 20 years. She enjoyed traveling and painting, especially oil painting.
She is survived by one brother, Roy M. Hazen of New Castle, two sisters, Roberta L. Orres of Mercer, and Carol McGranahan of Durham, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
