Glenna J. Weiner

Glenna J. Weiner, 75, of Haven Nursing Home, formerly of Castlewood, died Friday morning, January 20, 2006 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born May 27, 1930 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Howard and Minnie (Carnes) Buchanan. Mrs. Weiner was a member of the First United Brethren Church on Stanton Ave. She was also one of the first babies and the first red headed baby to be born in Jameson Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Roger (Jean) Cassell of Elkridge, MD, Mrs. Daniel (Janet) Hoover of New Castle, PA, Gloria Snyder of Glen Burnie, MD, Mrs. Wayne (Karen Bowersox) Males of Severna Park, MD, 1 brother, Brant 'Bud' Buchanan of New Castle, PA, 4 sisters, Marilyn Clendennie of Texas, Cornelia Hobrat of New Castle, PA, and Bernice Kennedy of New Castle, PA, and Carol Buchanan of Florida, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her 1st husband George A. Bowersox, her 2nd husband David Weiner, 3 brothers Wendell Buchanan, Clarence Buchanan, and Howard Buchanan, her sister Frances Heathcock, her grandson Roger D. Cassell, Jr. and her great granddaughter Carmen Males-Morreale.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the First United Brethren Church on Stanton Ave. Rev. John Wiseman will officiated. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the church. Arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
