Mary Louise Servedio, 91, of Servedio Road, New Castle, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born February 1, 1923 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth (Prioletti) DiLorenzo. She was married to the late Sam Servedio who died December 24, 2011. Mrs. Servedio was a decorator at Shenango China for many years. She also worked as a nurses' aid at Golden Hill Nursing Home. Mrs. Servedio was very musically inclined and played the piano, accordion and harmonica. She was the worship leader and played piano and sang for various local churches. She was the leader of Mary's Kitchen Band, a member of the Sweet Adeline's and the Glory and Praise Group of St. Vitus Church. She also sang in high school with the Minstrel Chorus and later sang in many plays at the New Castle Play House and the Handel's Messiah for many years.

She is survived by six children, Rosemarie Commisso and husband Rocco of Pittsburgh, Sally Ann Soom and husband Timothy of Uniontown, PA, Anthony J. Servedio and wife Linda of New Castle, Noreen M. Rose and husband Steven of Glenmoore, PA, Sam J. Servedio and wife Sharri of New Castle, and Mary Beth Floccari and husband Gary of Pittsburgh, one sister, Nancy Stickel of Princeton, PA, sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Andrew, Louis and Nicholas DiLorenzo, and Adam and Jim Carungi.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father William Siple of St. Vitus Church and Rev. Cliff Reynolds of Word Alive Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
