Catherine A. Pander

Catherine A. Pander, 71, of Vista South Apartments, passed away with her family at her side, Thursday afternoon, February 2, 2006 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born August 7, 1934 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Arnold) Roberts, they precede her in death. She was married to Paul M. Pander, Jr. who died February 21, 1986. Mrs. Pander worked at the Haven Nursing Home for 20 years in housekeeping. She collected stamps and crystal figurines and enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and crotcheting.
She is survived by 1 daughter, Barbara J. Hobel of New Castle, PA, 2 sons, Brian J. Pander and his wife Dorothea “Tia’ of New Castle, PA and Mark D. Pander and his wife Vicky of New Castle, PA, 1 brother, Paul Roberts of Pineville, LA and four grandsons.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by twin sons Donald and Paul Pander, 2 brothers Charles Roberts and William Roberts, Jr., and her sister Marguerite Kitzko.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8 pm.
A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father James Downs of Christ the King Parish will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
