Mary McCormick, 82, of East Fairfield Avenue, New Castle, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at UPMC Passavant Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born May 7, 1932 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Antonio and Philomena (Conti) DeAugustine. She married Robert P. McCormick in 1951, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. McCormick was a waitress at a number of local restaurants for a number of years. She retired from the New Castle Area School System as a cafeteria worker. She also ran the concession stand at Cascade Park Pool for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Kim Bigley of Grand Junction, CO, Patricia DeCarbo and her husband William of New Castle, Robert McCormick and his wife Marlene of New Castle, and Adam Brigham and his wife Lindsay of New Castle, one brother, Louis DeAugustine of New Castle, one sister, Joanne Montini of New Castle, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Marion, Stephen, Anthony, Frank, Alfred, and Albert DeAugustine, and three sisters, Verna Fulena, Nettie DeAugustine and Anna Freese.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 4 PM to 8 PM.
Blessing services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
