Betty Jane 'Janie' Albert

Betty Jane ‘Janie’ Albert, 80, of Vista South Apartments, died Saturday morning, February 4, 2006 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born March 5, 1925 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania the daughter of Charles and Susie (Shaheen) Albert, they precede her in death. Miss Albert was a supervisor at a welding company in Pasadena, CA for many years, she also worked at Airway Luggage and St. Francis Hospital. She was a member of the St. Elias Orthodox Church and called bingo at the Vista South 3 times a week, she was also very active in local political campaigns. She was loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Louise Roth of New Castle, PA, and Mrs. Frank (Sandra) LaRocco of New Castle, PA and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Abraham ‘Bud’ Albert and George Albert and a niece, Renee Lynn LaRocco.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Elias Orthodox Church. Father Gregory Harrigle will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 am. Trisagion Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
