Dedra ‘Dee Dee’ Gettings Rhodes, 51, of Volant, PA, died Wednesday afternoon, February 8, 2006 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born September 14, 1954 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Robert and Mrytle (Rohrer) Gettings, they precede her in death. Ms. Rhodes worked for the Lawrence Emergency Operations Center as a dispatcher for 20 years. She enjoyed making crafts and watching horse racing.
She is survived by 2 sons, Jason Schmidt of North Carolina and Brian Rhodes of New Castle, PA.
A private funeral service will be held at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Kauffman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
