Mary E. Grimm
October 2, 1916 — January 3, 2009
Mary E. Grimm, 92, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Lawrence Manor, died Saturday morning, January 3, 2009 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born October 2, 1916 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Hogue) Hamilton. She was married for 55 years to Elmer F. Grimm who died March 10, 1990. Mrs. Grimm was a homemaker and a member of the Free Methodist Church in Ellwood City and a former member of the Moose Club in Ellwood City.
She is survived by two daughter, Doris Gardner and Shirley Warsing and her husband Russell, all of New Castle, PA, three sons, Kenneth Grimm of Polk, PA, and Thomas Grimm and his wife Kathy and Gary Grimm and his wife Cindy, all of Ellwood City, PA, five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant brother Jack Hamilton, and her sister Eleanor Llewellyn.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Savannah Cemetery.
