Mary E. Ciciora West went to be with her Lord and Savior the night of May 9, 2015 at St. John XXIII Home in Hermitage, PA.
She was born June 16, 1930, in Park Ridge, Illinois, the daughter of Edward and Ruth Mauritzen Stapleton.
Mary graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1952 with a degree in Physical Education where she met and later married Stanley J. “Stosh” Ciciora on April 11, 1952 and they had 37 wonderful years together.
Mary wed James Douglas West in 2005 and they shared 6 1/2 golden years.
Mary enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, tatting, crafting, boating & canoeing, bird-watching, decorating, reading and Bible studies as well as being a puzzle and Scrabble enthusiast. She was a lifelong member of both the Audubon Society and the Mother of Twins Club after having two sets of twins. She was a past president of the Naples Chapter of The Opti-Mrs. International. In conjunction with the Optimists she and her husband Stanley implemented and were involved in many local and international civic & benevolent programs. She and Stanley owned Stan’s Music Stand in Naples for many years.
Mary was an active member of Inspiration Baptist Church in Rock Hill, SC and the Church of Genesis, in New Castle, PA.
Mary is survived by her children: Sandra Ciciora of Jacksonville, FL; Cynthia (John) Junkin of Bessemer PA; Kathleen (Terry) Deadwyler of Highlands Ranch, CO; Jim (Cindy) Ciciora of Spring Lake, NC; Jerome (Joy) Ciciora of Hampton, NH; Carlin (Randy) Yeakley of Camden, IN; and Paul Ciciora of Naples, FL. She is also survived by her ‘daughter-in-love’ Amy Fuller; stepchildren Dan and Tom West; 27 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by her brother Edward Stapleton, her sister Judy Norton, and son Steven Michael Ciciora.

Visitation will be held at the Church of Genesis, Friday, May 15 from 3 to 6 PM. A Celebration Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Genesis at a later date with Pastor Ron Eade officiating. She will be interred at Oak Park Cemetery, New Castle. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
