Mary Jane Kordish

Mary Jane Kordish, 61, of DuShane St., New Castle, died Sunday evening, January 11, 2009 at her home in New Castle. She was born February 4, 1947 in West Pittsburg, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Herman and Violet (Allen) Meilke. She has been married to Robert Kordish for 40 years, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Kordish was a homemaker and formerly worked at Reliable Luggage. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sports and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by five sons, John Kordish and his wife Kathy, Steve Kordish, David Kordish and his wife Angie, Jim Kordish and his wife Carol, and George Kordish and his wife Tammy, all of New Castle, PA, four sisters, Anna Mae Woods, Donna Kordish, and Darlene Williamson all of New Castle, PA, and Delores Sayers of New Brighton, PA, fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Meilke and Louis Meilke, and five sisters, Evelyn ‘Shortie’ Wojciechowski, Louella Gilson, Bertha Meilke, Lorretta Aldan, and Pauline Meilke.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 8:00 pm at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, Inc. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery.
