Richard J. Mccune

Richard J. McCune, 72, of Village Lane. New Castle, died Friday, May 29, 2015 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born February 7, 1943 in Ellwood City, a son of the late James and Katherine ‘Peggy’ (Beach) McCune. He was a married to Doris J. (McLaren) McCune on May 13, 1967, she survives in New Castle. Mr. McCune worked in the forge at Rockwell International for 23 years. He then retired from housekeeping at Golden Hill Nursing Home after over 20 years. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam Era and the Army National Guard. He loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patty McCune and her fiancé Mark Holland of New Castle, and Pamela Smith and her husband Daniel of New Castle, one brother, James McCune of New Castle, one sister, Katherine Palmer of Clarksville, TN, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine McCune.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 4 PM to 5 PM.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at 5:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the funeral home.
