Marjorie Belle Sallmen

Marjorie Belle Sallmen, 81, of State Rt. 208, New Wilmington, PA, died Sunday evening, January 25, 2009 at her home in New Wilmington. She was born August 6, 1927 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Paris N. Richeal and Mildred (Emery) Martin. She was married to William Sallmen who died on April 21, 2001. Mrs. Sallmen was an inspector at Shenango China retiring after 30 years. She enjoyed country music and dancing and was a member of the Country Music Association. She loved spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathleen White and her husband David of Pulaski, PA, Sandra McBride and her husband Mark of New Castle, PA, and Vickie Lynn McBride and her husband Jeff of Edinburg, PA, one daughter-in-law, Nancy Alley, one brother, Willis Richeal of New Castle, PA, one sister, Nora Diplacido of Gaithersburg, MD, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and 2nd husband, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband Reynolds Alley, and her son Francis Paul Alley.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at 12:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor William Whisel of New Hope Family Worship Center will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
