Alesia Ann Kurtz

Alesia Ann Kurtz, 53, of West Middlesex, PA, formerly of New Castle, PA, died Tuesday morning, January 27, 2009 at UPMC Farrell Hospital in Farrell, Pennsylvania. She was born November 25, 1955 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Kenneth and Delores (Brown) Quear. She married John Paul Kurtz on November 6, 1999, he survives in West Middlesex. Mrs. Kurtz was a homemaker and enjoyed going to Casino's and playing slots. She also loved spending time and raising her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by, her step-mother, Carol Quear of New Castle, one son, Kevin Gilmore of New Castle, PA, one daughter, Jamie Gilmore of New Castle, PA, two step-daughters, Tracie Fowler and Neena Eichler-Kurtz, both of New Castle, PA, two brothers, Wayne Quear and his wife Deborah, and Howard Quear, both of New Castle, PA, two sisters, Anna Horner and her husband Rodney of Conneaut, PA, and Mr. & Mrs. David and Lena Hellon of Erie, PA, two grandchildren, Leanna and Blu Bartle and one step-granddaughter, Shelby Fowler.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Quear, Jr.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery in New Middletown, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Alesia’s memory to her grandchildren.
