Elizabeth S. Zarilla

Elizabeth S. Zarilla, 85, of Edison Manor Nursing Home, formerly of N. Mercer St., New Castle, died Tuesday afternoon, January 27, 2009 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born June 10, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of the late Rudolph and Carlotta (Regna) Elari. She was married to James V. Zarilla, Sr. who died on March 19, 2008. Mrs. Zarilla was a homemaker and a member of numerous clubs and organizations in New Castle. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by, one daughter, Carla Hackett of Wampum, PA, one son, Michael Zarilla of Beaver Falls, PA, two sisters, Clara Zona of New Castle, PA, and Stephanie Ross of Boca Raton, FL, and four grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by, her son James Zarilla, Jr., and her brother Rudolph Elari.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm.
Blessing services will be held Friday, January 30, 2009 at 12:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Phil Farrell of St. Camillus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
