John E. Fraser

John E. Fraser, 71, of New Castle, died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in New Castle, the son of the late John and Ruth (Fulkerson) Fraser. He married Penny J. (Higgs) Fraser on October 5, 1990, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Fraser worked at Rockwell International and then retired from Ellwood City Forge as a machinist. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Ruth A. Fairchild of New Castle, Maureen R. Adams and her husband Randy of New Castle, John P. Fraser and his wife Mary Jane of New Castle, and Michael T. Fraser of Bailey, NC, two sisters, Kathy Lober and her husband Norm of Fredericksburg, VA, and Dawn Morici and her husband Michael of New Castle, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his 1st wife, Bonnie (Shorts) Fraser, his son, Timothy T. Fraser, one grandson and one great grandson.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Frederick Gilbert of Independent Methodist Church will be officiating. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
