Joseph A. Petrucci, Sr.

Joseph A. Petrucci, Sr., 85, of Laurel Place, New Castle, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. He was born November 24, 1929 in New Castle, a son of the late Gabriel and Florence (Migliazzi) Petrucci. He was married to the late Dora ‘Tootsie’ (Cook) Petrucci who died September 24, 2014. Mr. Petrucci worked at Rockwell International retiring after 20 years. He was then owner and operator of M & A Distributors on Cascade Street for 15 years. He also drove an Acts Bus for many years. Mr. Petrucci was an Army veteran of the Korean Era and enjoyed playing cards, watching his grandsons play ball and having his morning coffee at Big Bites with all his friends.

He is survived by one son, Joseph A. Petrucci, Jr. and his wife Cecelia of New Castle, two brothers, Daniel Petrucci of Austintown, OH and Pat Petrucci of New Castle, two granddaughters, Stacy Conti and her husband Richard and Ashley Petrucci, and two great grandsons, Richard Conti and Nicholas Conti.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the cemetery.
