Betty Jane Geminiani

Betty Jane Geminiani, 90, of Randolph Street, New Castle, died Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born February 26, 1925 in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late William and Emma (Burton) Adams. She was married to the late Vernicio Geminiani who died in 1990. Mrs. Geminiani was a nurses’ aide at Almira Home and Golden Hill Nursing Home for 9 years and she worked in the dipping room of Shenango China for 4 years. Mrs. Geminiani was a visiting nurse and worked with hospice patients for many years. She enjoyed camping and the outdoors and singing with various church groups at local nursing homes. Mrs. Geminiani was also a life member of the AMVETS and held various positions and offices in the organization.

She is survived by three sons, Samuel Ross and his wife Linda of New Castle, Paul Geminiani and his girlfriend Cheryl of New Castle, and Vernon Geminiani and his wife Tracy of New Castle, two sisters, Margaret Camarda of Louisiana and Zelma Roman of South Carolina, her companion, Walter Wilson of New Castle, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Ronald Mounts of Church of God will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
