Jean Marie Conti

Jean Marie Conti, 75, of North Vine Street, New Castle, died Monday, August 10, 2015 at Jameson Hospital South in New Castle. She was born February 8, 1940 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Querriera) Cioffi. She was married to the late Richard ‘Dicky’ Conti who died September 19, 2011. Mrs. Conti was a registered nurse working at St. Francis Hospital and Jameson Memorial Hospital retiring after 50 years. She was a graduate of the New Castle Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of the Eagles and Moose clubs. Mrs. Conti was a volunteer for Contact EARS for many years and an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. She also danced for the American Cancer Society at halftime of a Steelers Game.

She is survived by three children, Steven A. Conti and fiancé Melanie Carbone of New Castle, Richard E. Conti, Jr. and wife Stacy of New Castle, and Toni Lynn Conti of New Castle, one brother, Larry J. Cioffi and wife Betty of New Castle, one sister, Sandra L. Burgo and husband Raymond of New Castle, and five grandchildren, Richard, Cherokee, Nicholas, Cheyenne and Senaca Conti.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Beth Conti.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 4PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father William Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
