Stanley P. Gorski

Stanley P. Gorski, 82, of East Long Avenue, New Castle, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born July 20, 1933 in New Castle, a son of the late Michael and Sophie (Jaworski) Gorski. He was married to Nancy (Jannetti) Gorski on May 26, 1962, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Gorski worked in the foundry at the Crane Co. and Penntex for 15 years. He then retired as a custodian from the Grove City School District after 10 years. He was a member of the Eagles Club and was an avid sports fan, especially the Steelers and Pirates.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two children, Michael D. Gorski of New Castle and Mary Beth Reeves of Royal Palm Beach, FL, one sister, Frances Pretko of Grove City, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Michael Gorski.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Blessing services will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father William Siple of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: Solid Rock Ministries, PO Box 7055, New Castle, PA 16107, in Stanley’s name.
