James H. Brown, Sr.

James H. Brown, Sr., 71, of Jockey Moore Road, Ellwood City, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. He was born in Castlewood, PA on December 25, 1943 a son of the late John and Edna (McClearn) Brown. He was married to the late Iva M. (Henry) Brown who died May 2, 2006. Mr. Brown worked for Pittsburgh Metals Purified, Ingot Aid in New Castle as a laborer retiring after 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening and loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by five children, James H. Brown, Jr. of Ellwood City, Margaret J. Brown of Ellwood City, Robert L. Brown of Ellwood City, Theresa M. Brown of New Castle and Marcy M. Brown of Ellwood City, two brothers, Aubrey L. Brown of North Carolina and Samuel D. Brown of New Castle, three sisters, Diana K. Lyons of New Castle, Gloria J. Bollinger of New Castle and Margaret L. Yhelka of New Castle and two grandchildren, James A. Brown and Olivia D’Ambrosia.
He was also preceded in death by one son, Samuel J. Brown, three brothers, John T., Henry J. and Edward L. Brown and three sisters, Sarah J. Brown, Carol George and Patti Jo Lytle.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 10 AM to 12 Noon at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 12 noon at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate. Burial will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery.
