Suzzann B. Pounds

Suzzann B. Pounds, 62, of Quarry Road, New Castle, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was born January 22, 1953 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Frank and Betty (Leasure) Presnar. She was married to Franklin J. Pounds, Sr. on June 23, 1974, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Pounds was a Nurses Aide at Golden Hill Nursing Home for over 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 315 and enjoyed going to car shows.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Franklin J. Pounds, Jr. and his companion Leslie McClenahan of New Castle, Tracy L. Owens of New Castle, Matthew J. Pounds and his companion Christina Smith of New Castle, and Leonard J. Pounds and his wife Isabelle Shick of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two brothers, Frank Presnar of New Castle and Jeffrey Presnar of Ft. Dix, NJ, one sister, Carol Francis of Ellwood City, and three grandchildren, Mariah Owens, Concetta Pounds, Matthew Pounds, Jr.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Mr. Jackson Allison will be officiating. Burial will be in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Worth Twp., PA.
