Sharri L. Servedio, 53, of Chapin Road, New Castle, died Sunday, September 27, 2015 at her home in New Castle. She was born May 31, 1962 in New Castle, a daughter of Carmen and Carol (McKee) Guido, her parents survive in New Castle. She was married to Samuel J. Servedio, Jr. on February 4, 1984, he survives in New Castle. Sharri Servedio was well-known as a kind and spirited woman who always found many reasons to smile and share joy with others. She was a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister; to everyone, she was a dear and important friend.
Sharri's generous heart is truly an irreplaceable gift to our community. She was a loving mother to her four children as well as her children's friends, who often considered her their second mother. She was a gracious host for many Servedio family functions, preparing army-sized meals made with love and extra salt. She lived by the motto, "There's always room for one more," tirelessly serving others for hours before attending to herself.
Sharri was the pillar that always stood strongly in support of her family's dreams. Her greatest joy was witnessing her children succeed. She was a role model of kindness, honesty, generosity, hospitality, acceptance, and love.
As a woman of faith, Sharri believed wholeheartedly in Jesus Christ, and raised her children to know Him the way she did. Despite her suffering, she never doubted the Lord's plan for her. Surely she is praising His glory with the Angels and the Saints in Heaven.
Sharri worked side-by-side with her husband and one true love, Sam, not only at raising their family, but also in the family business. At A. Servedio Electric, Sharri served as the Chief Financial Officer. Many may recall her charming and cheerful telephone greeting, where it seemed as if she was always having a good day and wanting to impart that to others. Sharri's joy was contagious, especially through her memorable voice and laugh. Even though Sharri and Sam spent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week together, they seemed to never grow tired of being together.
Sharri's warm and radiant smile will be most missed. She had the type of touch that brought sunlight on your face. Celebrating the joy of life mattered most to SharBear, as she is known to many; so much so, she expressed for all to celebrate her life rather than mourn her death.
Mama, your light burns in all of our hearts. Thank you for instilling hope, strength, and love in us, your loving children and husband. We are counting the days to meet again in Heaven. We are proud to call you mom, wife, and most of all, friend. See you soon, Mama SharBear.
In addition to her parents and husband she is survived by four children, Samuel J. Servedio, III of New Castle, Bryana R. Servedio and her fiancé Matt Kappadalunnel of Santa Monica, CA, LaDare M. Servedio of New Castle, and Taylor K. Servedio of Hollywood, CA, one brother, David M. Guido and his wife Judy of Sharpsville, PA, two sisters, Michelle A.
