Amy J. Mcmullen

Amy J. (Nocera) McMullen, 67, of Fairview Avenue, New Castle, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, surrounded by her family, at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born July 30, 1948 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Julius and Clotilda (Ryan) Nocera. Amy was an LPN and cared for the residents of Edison Manor for 31 years. She also served as a union steward until her early retirement due to an unexpected illness which she fought bravely for two years. She was a member of St. Vitus Church and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, John W. McMullen and his wife Amy of Austintown, OH, and Michael A. McMullen of New Castle, four brothers, Louis, Michael, Richard, and Paul Nocera, one sister, Yvonne Isabella and two grandchildren, Melinda and John McMullen.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Larry Adams of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
