Marie M. Merlino

Marie M. Merlino, 94, of Garfield Road, Columbiana, OH, formerly of New Castle, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at St. Mary's Alzheimer Center in Columbiana, Ohio. She was born July 3, 1921 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Frank and Elvira (Ciazzia) Merlino. Ms. Merlino was a seamstress at the Pants Factory and Airway Luggage for many years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish and enjoyed cooking, sewing, theaters, fashion clothes and shopping.
She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Guy Merlino, and five sisters, Constance Domenick, Stella McLean, Linda Maciarello, Josephine Relo, and Susan Creaturo.
Blessing services will be held Friday, November 27, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastorial Associate Lauren DeFelice of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Lucy Cemetery.
