Karen Lynn Julian

Karen Lynn Julian, 41, of McBride Acres, New Castle, died Sunday evening, March 8, 2009 at her home in New Castle. She was born November 22, 1967 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania a daughter of Edwin L. and Carol Ann (Wall) Spadafora. Her father precedes her in death, her mother survives in New Castle. She married Paul W. Julian on June 15, 2002, he survives in New Castle. Mrs. Julian was an English Teacher at Riverside High School for 10 years. She was the Advisor of the Drama Club at the high school. Mrs. Julian received her Bachelors Degree in Education from California State University and her Masters Degree in English and Theater from the University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of St. Camillus Church and enjoyed decorating cakes and making her own floral arrangements. She will be remembered most as a loving wife and mother.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by, two daughters, Paige Nicole Julian and Kiera Louise Julian, both at home, her twin-sister, Kristen L. Haynes of New Castle, PA, one brother, Keith L. Spadafora of Washington, DC, and her mother and father-in-law, Peter and Peggy Julian of New Castle, PA.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, March 12, 2009 at 9:30 am at St. Camillus Church. Father Phil Farrell of St. Camillus Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:00 am. Burial will be in the St. Mary Cemetery in New Castle.
