Nicholas 'Nancy' Leone

Nicholas ‘Nancy’ Leone, 96, of West Pittsburg Road, New Castle, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Avalon Nursing Center in New Castle. She was born October 19, 1919 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Antonio and Catherine (Carusone) Quahliero. She was married to the late Augustine Leone, Sr. for 51 years, he passed away May 27, 1992. Mrs. Leone was a member of St. Joseph Church and prior member of St. Lucy Church in Mahoningtown where she served on the Holy Rosary and Altar Society. She was best known as a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to the happiness and well being of her family.

She is survived by two sons, Jack Leone and his wife Nancy of Grove City, Augustine Leone, Jr. and his companion Charlotte Serjak of New Castle, one son-in-law, William Sarbo and his wife Donna of West Middlesex, four grandchildren, Christian Sarbo and his wife Heather, William Sarbo, Anthony Leone and his wife Miranda, and Nick Leone, and five great grandchildren, Michael Sarbo, Matthew Sarbo, Maria Sarbo, Phillip Sarbo, and Angelo Monaco.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Phyllis Sarbo, one granddaughter, Donna Peters, three brothers, Marion Quahliero, Andrew Quahliero, and Andy Gangliero, and three sisters, Elizabeth Russo, Mary Palumbo, and Angeline Mingione.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Blessing services will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Frank Almade of St. Joseph Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
