Helen E. Glitch, 78, of 1507 Wooley Ave., New Castle, died Sunday evening, March 12, 2006 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born August 15, 1927 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the daughter of Alexander and Florence (Spears) Peters, they precede her in death. She was married to Kenneth A. Glitch, Sr., who died on December 18, 1998. Mrs. Glitch was a manager at Revco Drug Store in Lawrence Village Plaza for 15 years. She also worked at Gaylord's Department Store for 5 years in the Jewelry Department. She enjoyed reading, cooking and cross-stitching. Mrs. Glitch also taught CCD at St. Joseph Church for many years.

She is survived by 5 daughters, Cheryl Reid, Marcia Innocent, Barbara Tervo and Mary Jo Leitera all of New Castle, PA, and Germaine Smith of Sharon, PA, 2 sons, William Glitch of Norfolk, VA and Mark Glitch of New Castle, PA, 2 brothers, Leo Peters of Niles, OH and James Peters of Volant, PA, 3 sisters, Katherine Grundy of New Castle, PA, Louise Biega of St. Louis, MI, and Betty Dilley of New Castle, PA, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth A. Glitch, Jr., her brother William Peters, and her sister Mary Gardner.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father Robert Schweitzer of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Helen Glitch.
