Gretchen H. Kennedy, 90, of Haven Nursing Home, died Monday evening, March 13, 2006 at the Haven Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. She was born March 10, 1916 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania the daughter of William and Laura (Schrecongost) Cochran, they precede her in death. She was married to Kenneth Kennedy, Sr. who died December 9, 2004. Mrs. Kennedy was a salesperson at the Bargain Center in New Castle for over 10 years.
She is survived by one son, Donald Kennedy of New Castle, PA, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Kennedy, Jr., her brother Guy Cochran and several half-brothers, and her sister Belva Bierswirth and severa half-sisters.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Friday from 10am-12pm.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 17, 2006 at 12:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
