Mary S. Torsello

Mary S. Torsello, 86, of Pearson St., New Castle, died Thursday morning, March 26, 2009 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. She was born January 16, 1923 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Frank and Theresa (Reda) Porco. She was married to Rocco J. Torsello, who died on October 222, 2002. Mrs. Torsello was a homemaker and a life long member of the Church of God and the former Christian Assembly Church. She was also a Judge of Elections for the 4th
Ward 1st Precinct for 40 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna L. Sniezek of New Castle, PA, one daughter-in-law, Beverly Torsello of New Castle, PA, four grandchildren, Ali-Morgan Torsello of New Castle, PA, Bryan Lee Torsello of New Castle, PA who she raised, Jamie Christian Torsello of New Castle, PA, and Richard T. DeAugustine of Massachusetts, one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Rae DeAugustine of Massachusetts, one sister, Helen DePola of New Castle, PA, and one niece, Janice Ialonga of Ellwood City, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth W. Torsello, and her sister Lenora DeRosa.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Ronald Mounts of Church of God and Pastor Frederick Gilbert of Independent Methodist Church will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
