Irene Karoline Bair

Irene Karoline Bair, 72, of E. Washington St., New Castle, died Friday afternoon, March 27, 2009 at her home in New Castle. She was born July 9, 1936 in Munich, Germany the daughter of the late Karl Herrmann. She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Maria Herrmann, who raised her. She was married to Weimer H. Bair who survives in New Castle. Mrs. Bair was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by, one daughter, Cynthia I. DeFrank of New Castle, PA, one son, Donald L. Bair and his wife Tammy of New Castle, PA, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her son Howard W. Bair and her son-in-law, Patsy DeFrank.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Brian Hammond of Faith Country Chapel will be officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.
