Sally Lou Crisci-Firmi, 74, of Charlottes Lane, New Castle, PA, died Thursday morning, April 2, 2009 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Youngstown, OH. She was born, January 10, 1935 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Ann Marie (Prioletti) Crisci. She married the late Eugene “Lou” Firmi on August 6, 1955. They were happily married for 53 years. Mr. Firmi died on July 26, 2008. Mrs. Firmi was employed by Crisci Food Equipment Company for over 50 years and was the acting President for 20 years. She was active in the American Foreign Student Exchange Program with the New Castle Area School District. She was a member of St. Mary Church of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was always there for and supported her family.
She was survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Randall Firmi of Boardman, OH, Rodney and Sherri Firmi of New Castle, PA, and Ryan and Aimee Firmi of New Castle, PA; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosina and Anthony Chiaverini of New Castle, PA; six grandchildren, Rodney, Lauren, Ryan, Kirsten, Brandon, and Nolan; and four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Marge Firorelli of Highland Hts., OH, Rosemarie and Frank D’Augostine and Martha & David Cotelesse all of New Castle, PA and Betty Firmi of New Castle, PA, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5 pm to 8 pm on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the William F. and Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Ave., New Castle, PA.
Friends also will be received from 8:30 to 9:00 am Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. Mary Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am at the church with the Father Victor J. Molka Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Castle View Memorial Gardens.
