Gerald J. 'Jerry' Maggie

Gerald J. ‘Jerry’ Maggie, 63, of W. Washington St., New Castle, died Thursday morning, April 2, 2009 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born November 4, 1945 in Rennes, France a son of the late Donald Maggie and Raymonde (Monnier) Gautier. He married Judy A. (McKibben) Maggie on October 7, 1967. Mr. Maggie was a bus driver for 18 years with the New Castle Area Transit Authority. He was a member of the First Assembly of God and the Mason Lodge of the Craft. Mr. Maggie loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by, two sons, Robbie J. Maggie and his wife Laurie, and Ryan J. Maggie, Sr., all of New Castle, PA, one daughter, MacKenzie J. Maggie of New Castle, PA, four grandchildren, Ryan J. Maggie, Jr., Joshua and Jordan Maggie and Layla Maggie, four brothers, Gary and Larry Maggie of Florida, and Phillipe and Jacky Gautier of France and an uncle, Donald and Joanne Stroud of Richmond, VA.

Visitation will be held at the First Assembly of God Church on Pulaski Rd. on Monday, April 6, 2009 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2009 at 7:00 pm at First Assembly of God Church. Rev. Joette Lahberger of Connections Ministry and Pastor Kenneth Meyer of First Assembly of God will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home.
