Dolores A. ‘Dee’ Cook, 85, formerly of Fern Street, New Castle, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born August 29, 1930 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Dando) Palladino. She was married to the late Joseph J. Cook who died March 28, 2007. Dee was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who spent her entire life serving others. Many were touched by her selfless, unconditional love. She enjoyed being with her family more than anything else whether it be Sunday dinners, trips to Conneaut Lake, boat rides or ball games with her granddaughter and great grandson, or plane rides to Myrtle beach to see her great granddaughters.
She is survived by five children, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Cook, Mrs. Wayne (Deborah) Cross, Mrs. John (Cynthia) Palko, Mr. & Mrs. David Cook, and Mr. & Mrs. Randall Cook, all of New Castle, one brother, Anthony Palladino of New Castle, four sisters, Helene Rotunno, Joann Graham, Louise McKey, and Shirley Nader, all of New Castle, fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael Palladino, Pat Palladino, Albert Pallerino and Fred Pallerino and two sisters, Grace Koszela and Jane Palladino.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Vitus Church. Father Larry Adams of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Parkside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hosptial, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
