Joan H. Santia

Joan H. Santia, 73, of Golden Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Fisher Dr., New Castle, died Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2009 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born March 19, 1936 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Floyd and Elizabeth (Rico) Houston. Mrs. Santia was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and dancing.
She is survived by one son, Mark Santia and his wife Michelle of Wexford, PA, two daughters, Lisa Burrelli and her husband John of New Castle, PA, and Melissa Heasley and her husband Matt of Cranberry, PA, and seven grandchildren, Nicole Burrelli, Alexandria Burrelli, Talia Santia, Roman Santia, Tyler Heasley, Nikki Heasley and Lauren Heasley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Dolores Broadbent.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Monday, April 6, 2009 from 10 am to 12 pm.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2009 at 12:00 pm at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Guest will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
