Norma M. Perretta

Norma M. Perretta, 92, of South Market Street, New Wilmington, formerly of Blanchard Street, Mahoningtown, died Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Shenango Presbyterian Sr. Care in New Wilmington. She was born May 28, 1923 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Americo ‘Mike’ and Silvia (DeMatteo) Lombardi. She was married to the late Louis A. Perretta who died June 4, 1983. Mrs. Perretta was a nurse for Dr. A. Aquaviva for 25 years. She then retired from the New Castle School of Trades as a nurse after 15 years. She was a graduate of the New Castle School of Nursing in 1947. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and the Women of Faith.

She is survived by two children, Sylvia Perretta Lesic of Chevy Chase, MD and Louis M. Perretta and his wife Donna of New Castle, one sister, Louise N. Lombardi of New Wilmington, one grandson, Corry F. Schachern and his wife Autumn of New Castle and two great grandchildren, Daniel Louis and Aria Marie Schachern.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father James Downs will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery.
