Richard ‘Dick’ W. Biddle, 68, of New Castle, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Sunday, December 13, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 24, 1947 in New Castle, a son of the late Richard and Betty Jean (Hutchinson) Biddle. Surviving at home is his beloved wife, the former Catherine (Frank) Logan Biddle, whom he married March 20, 1997. Dick was a 1965 graduate of New Castle High School. He was employed by Commercial Intertech/Parker Hannefin, retiring after 30 years of service as a machinist. He was a member of the Saxon Club and NRAS. He was of the Methodist faith. Dick enjoyed reading, fishing, country music, bird-watching, and caring for his animals. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving, wonderful husband, father and grandfather with a warm smile for all and a heart of gold. A few of his favorite charities include the Humane Society, Wounded Warriors and Salvation Army.

In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by two daughters, Michelle Biddle and companion Annette of Dillsboro, IN and Karen Maize and husband Sam of New Castle, three step-children, Lisa Lee and her husband Troy of New Castle, William Logan and his wife Heather of Gibsonia, PA and Carly Negrila and her husband Andrei of Port Orchard, WA, two sisters, Marcyne Flak of New Castle, and Lori Gorgas of Volant, and seven grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher and Zachary Maize, Tyler, Connor and Quentin Lee and Sawyer Logan.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bill Biddle.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Nathan Loudon of First Presbyterian Church will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to one of Dick favorite charities list above in his name.
