Ettore 'Tatters' Sfreddo

Ettore ‘Tatters’ Sfreddo, 83, of Haven Nursing Home, died Friday evening, March 17, 2006 at Haven Nursing Home in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He was born May 11, 1922 in New Castle, Pennsylvania the son of Domenick and Jennie (Polcaco) Sfreddo, they precede him in death. Mr. Sfreddo was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for US Steel in Ellwood City for 20 years as a process laborer.
He is survived by one sister, Mafalda Emery and her husband, Gomer Emery of New Castle, PA and a number of cousins, nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Anthony Sfreddo, an infant brother and sister and his nephew Anthony G. Sfreddo.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 7:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
