John J. Tranquillo

John J. Tranquillo, 61, of Martha St., New Castle, died Tuesday afternoon, April 7, 2009 at his home in New Castle. He was born May 28, 1947 in New Castle, Pennsylvania a son of the late James and Anna (Tomco) Tranquillo. Mr. Tranquillo worked at the Sawhill Tube Mill in Sharon, PA retiring after 32 years. He was a member of St. Vitus Church and enjoyed working on and fixing cars and other mechanical tinkering.
He is survived by one brother, James S. ‘Butch’ Tranquillo of New Castle, PA, two sisters, Cindy Eve and her husband Willima and LaDonna Hanna, both of New Castle, PA, one step-son, Jim Wellman of New Castle, PA, two step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his companion, Donna Wellman.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home on Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 10 am to 11 am.
Blessing services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11:00 am at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Father John Petrarulo of St. Vitus Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
