Albert 'Zeke' A. Zarilla

Albert ‘Zeke’ A. Zarilla, 86, of W. Cherry Street, New Castle, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Jameson Memorial Hospital in New Castle. He was born September 11, 1929 in New Castle, a son of the late Anthony and Maira (Palmerie) Zarilla. Mr. Zarilla was a janitor for the New Castle School District, Thaddeus Stevens and George Washington Schools, retiring after 28 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War serving in Korea as a Sergeant. Zeke was a former member of the Eagles and Moose Club and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by one sister, Clara Moraldi of New Castle, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Peter ‘Turtle’, Ernie, and Jimmy Zarilla.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Friday, January 8, 2016 from 4 PM to 7 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Vincent de Paul Church. Father Larry Adams of St. Vincent de Paul Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Lucy Cemetery. The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform Military Funeral Rites at the funeral home on Friday at 7 PM.
