Frederick D. Gilmore, Jr.

Frederick D. Gilmore, Jr., 56, of E. Home Street, New Castle, died Monday, January 4, 2016 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born November 2, 1959 in New Castle, the son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Turner) Gilmore, Sr. He married Lisa G. (Session) Gilmore on August 23, 1986, she survives in New Castle. Mr. Gilmore worked for Union Local #964 Construction as a laborer for 15 years. Previously he worked for Shenango China. He was an avid sports fan and Raiders fan and enjoyed spending time with children.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children, Shantella P. Bethune of Virginia Beach, VA, Shelea L. Gilmore of New Castle, and Forrest D. Gilmore of New Castle, two sisters, Patti Jean Harris of New Castle, and Nina L. Murphy of Houston, TX, and two grandchildren, Jordan Bethune and Robbie Marshall.

He was also preceded in death by his son Frederick D. Gilmore, III.

Visitation will be held at Prevailing Word World Outreach Center, 114 Oakland Avenue, on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 Noon.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. at Prevailing Word World Outreach Center. Pastor David M. Young, Sr. of Prevailing Word World Outreach Center will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
