Mildred M. Decristoforo

Mildred M. DeCristoforo, 89, of Barbour Place, New Castle, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at her home in New Castle. She was born July 15, 1926 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania a daughter of Anthony and Antoinette (Marincic) Skufca. She was married to the late Louie A. DeCristoforo who died March 21, 2004. Mrs. DeCristoforo worked as a painter at Shenango China and as a clerk for Muder's Market. She was a member of SNPJ for over 60 years and a member of First United Brethren Church where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. Mrs. DeCristoforo also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and cooking.

She is survived by two children, Alan L. DeCristoforo and his wife Marlene of New Castle, and Alana L. Young and her husband Joseph of New Castle, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Tony, Martin, Frank, and Eddie Skufca, and four sisters, Louise Kopriva, Josephine Skufca, Lillian Skufca, and Mildred Mast.

Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Thursday, January 14, 2016 from 11 AM to 1 PM.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Alan L. DeCristoforo of First United Brethren Church will be officiating. Entombment will be in the Castle View Memorial Gardens.
