David J. Bell, 63, of Kenny Lane, Edinburg, died Saturday, January 9, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born in New Castle on July 9, 1952 a son of the late Howard and Dorothy (Montgomery) Bell. He was married to Jane L. (Hosler) Karns Bell on July 16, 1989, she survives in Edinburg. Mr. Bell worked in maintenance for many years and then retired as a construction worker for a number of years working for Chuck Donaldson Roofing and Douglas Karns Construction. He was an Army veteran serving in Vietnam as a mechanic. He enjoyed car shows, fishing and was an avid Steelers fan. He will be sadly missed and remembered as a great guy.
In addition to his wife he is survived by four step-children, Denise McCamey of Edinburg, Randolph Karns of New Castle, Duane Karns of Las Vegas, NV and Darren Karns of Minneapolis, MN, two brothers, Larry Joe McCamey of Edinburg and Howard Wood Bell of Broofield, OH, one sister, Ruth Holler of Hermitage, thirty step-grandchildren and sixteen step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 6:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Bupp will officiate.
