Wanda E. Cappatt

Wanda E. Cappatt, 89, of E. Friendship Street, New Castle, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Golden Hill Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born December 25, 1926 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Anthony and Wanda (Tylka) Otlawski. She was married to the late Patsy R. Cappatt who died March 23, 1995. Mrs. Cappatt was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and being a homemaker. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Patrick J. Cappatt and his fiancé Mary Manley of Cranberry Twp., PA, and Renee L. Cappatt of New Castle, and three grandchildren, Kevin, Jeffrey, and Christen Cappatt.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Edward, Julian, Chester, and Walter Otlawski, and one sister, Helen Kolodziej.
Visitation will be held at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4 PM to 7 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Father Frank Almade of St. Joseph the Worker Church will be officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM. Burial will be in the St. Vitus Cemetery.
